Today Slade Designs took its first step in dipping its toe into the Business Pond! Initially i anticipated a scary room full of very impressive business folk, however upon arrival, SCDF (South Coast Designers Forum), was a joyous occasion where designers/artists and such gathered to have a drink or two, mingle, swap business cards and general information that may benefit.
I took myself, and some of my jewellery and mingled till i could mingle no-more, and met some very interesting people along the way.
A particular man, Stephen Myburgh, (www.myburghdesigns.com) has given me the opportunity to come and check out his workshop, use the space and spend some time watching how his creations are made. Very exciting! Take a look at his stuff. Truly breathtaking.
Also, SCDF have their 5th year anniversary, in which they have designed a project for all members, - optional of course, to design/create something in their field inspired by the number 5. Despite only having been a member for 5 days (a sign maybe?!), i think i am going to sign-up for it! and all completed works will then be published! an opportunity not to be missed. So watch this space.
